Recruiting new trades - a quick guide
Combined experience of Construction and Recruitment
With our combined experience working in both construction and recruitment, we have developed our own methods of recruiting the very best staff. This includes thorough mandatory identity and eligibility to work checks.
Here are some of the key ingredients to finding a successful construction candidate:
Work Ethic - A good work ethic is key, the desire to work and progress is a trait we have and we expect anyone who works with us to also have. You can identify this by looking at the work history and speaking to their work references.
Experience - fairly obvious, but having the correct experience is essential, virtually pointless sending a candidate to work without it.
Qualifications - Much like experience, having the correct qualifications is key and in many cases essential.
Appearance - First impressions matter!
Tool Box checks - a candidate must have professional tools as opposed to cheap DIY tools.
Over time we get to know our candidates on a personal level and build strong and mutually beneficial relationships. This in turn creates loyalty and happy clients.
